These terms cover the use of champbrief.com. By reading the site you accept them. If you do not, please stop using the site.

What this site is

ChampBrief publishes a short, regular digest of mobile games available on Google Play. Every entry is editorial opinion formed after installing and playing the game. It is commentary, not professional advice, not a certification, and not a guarantee that a game will suit you.

Facts such as the developer name, the genre and the store rating are copied from the Google Play listing on the date shown on the page. Store listings change constantly. Where our figure and the store disagree, the store is correct and we are out of date — please tell us so we can fix it.

Advertising disclosure

Some links and entries on this site are advertising placements. A developer or an advertising network can arrange for a title to appear as a promoted placement with a link to its Google Play page, and where that happens the entry is labelled as advertising on the card itself.

A placement does not change an assessment. Ratings are copied from Google Play rather than assigned by us, notes are written after the game has been installed and played, and the order of the catalogue follows the issue plan. Everything an entry says about a game is editorial opinion formed on a handset, whether or not the card carries an advertising label.

If you ever see an entry that reads like advertising and is not labelled as such, write to notes@champbrief.com and we will correct the page.

No affiliation

ChampBrief is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or otherwise connected to Google LLC or to any developer or publisher named on this site. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trademarks of Google LLC. Names such as Games2rk, VOODOO, Sekgames, Freeplay Inc, TabOneTR and Infinite Flight Corporation are used only to identify the makers of the games discussed.

Intellectual property

Game titles, icons, screenshots, logos and trade marks belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification and commentary, which is a fair dealing for the purpose of review under Australian copyright law. Photographs used in editorial sections are published under a CC0 dedication through Wikimedia Commons and are credited where they appear.

The written entries, the page layout, the wordmark and the design of ChampBrief belong to ChampBrief. You may quote a short passage with a link back. You may not republish an entire entry, copy the design, or use our name in a way that suggests we endorse you.

If you own rights in material shown here and want it removed, write to notes@champbrief.com with the page address and the details, and we will act promptly.

Links to other services

Every catalogue entry links to Google Play. We do not control those pages, their content or their availability in your region, and we are not responsible for them. Installing an app creates a relationship between you, the developer and the store, not with us.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site.
• Do not scrape the site in bulk or republish it as your own.
• Do not submit another person's email address to the subscription form.

Accuracy and availability

We take reasonable care with what we publish, but the site is provided on an as-is basis. We do not promise that it will be without errors, that it will be continuously available, or that any game described will remain published or behave as it did when we played it.

Liability and your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability can be limited, our liability for any claim connected with the site is limited to supplying the material again. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site or of any app reached from it.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out in the Privacy Notice, and the storage used in your browser is described in the Cookie Notice.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any dispute connected with the site is to be dealt with by the courts of Australia, without affecting any right you have to bring a matter to a regulator or an ombudsman.
